London Was Amazing!
So, I’m back from London, and quite honestly, I’m a little sad.
I had SUCH an amazing time in the city that as soon as I got home I googled “how to move to London” and made plans to return in a few months.
Yes, I’m hooked.
Perhaps it was the newness of being across an ocean and in charge of my own ish, not bound by other folk’s plans or timeframe, or maybe...
16 days...
…and i’m not ready.

will i make it to paris?
can i afford to eat? lol
will i have a good time despite being alone?
will i end up on the news?
how can i capture the whole thing to...

one of it’s members shared a mix he made & i’ve been dancing to it all day & all night. so i’m sharing it with you.

2011 has been nothing short of amazing. So many things are happening that I once thought were just a dream.
But if I’m to be really real, the transformation started happening slowly in 2009, and start poppin’ like fish grease in 2010. Back then I was feeling incredibly stuck. I felt stuck in my job and like I couldn’t break out. Emotionally stagnant because the weight of my...

…until i board a plane at LAX heading for London. LONDON! I can’t believe i’m actually going, this is something like crazy. something like wonderful, actually.
oh the adventures i will have. i’m geeked. i’m sure my friends and family (and tweeps & FB friends) are probably sick of me talking about it by now, but yeah…i’m excited.
what will i do?...

dream hampton + me: a conversation
a little while ago i had the pleasure of sitting down with one of my favorite writers, dream hampton to chat about a myriad of things from hip-hop, to black women and abortion, to surviving in a post-capitalist world. #heavy.
two interviews have been published by Clutch Magazine (here & here), but i’m sharing the complete, unedited, amazingly dope convo with you.
enjoy.
